Pro Evolution Soccer (PES) or World Soccer Winning Eleven is a series of football video games developed and published by Konami. This series is produced under the supervision of Shingo "Seabass" Takatsuka.
Each year, the game is released around the end of September and / or early October with two different titles: World Soccer: Winning Eleven in Japan, and Pro Evolution Soccer in other countries. The Japanese version is a local version that includes the local football league. In 2007, the game began using the title game "Winning Eleven: Pro Evolution Soccer" for the American market, which was later changed to "Pro Evolution Soccer" in 2008.
Portugal's Cristiano Ronaldo has been a model for the front cover of DVDs on every game released as well as for advertising and other promotional media from 2012 to 2014. It was later replaced by Mario Götze.
As of December 2011, Pro Evolution Soccer has been translated into 19 languages and available in 62 countries, including Indonesia. In December 2012, the game series is sold to 81.65 million copies worldwide, making it one of the best-selling games in the world.
